The CLS Program maintains a list of faculty members and administrators at colleges and universities nationwide who have volunteered to assist students with the CLS application process. If you do not have a designated CLS representative at your university, we recommend you contact your university’s study abroad, fellowship office, career services office, or writing center.
You may request an application to be sent to you via email after you are contacted by a CLS faculty or staff member. You will submit your application online by going to the Admissions tab and clicking the Online CLS Application Submission option in the drop-down box.
All non-CLS courses must be completed prior to the senior year, 2nd semester (spring), due to students beginning off-campus clinical rotations. Requirements for B.S.C.L.S. completion and graduation include a Texas State GPA of 2.0 with a CLS major GPA of 2.25.
TMDSAS is the centralized application processing service for applicants to the first-year entering classes at all public medical, dental and veterinary schools in the State of Texas. We simplify the application process for both the applicants and the participating schools by providing ONE standardized application.
Please contact the CLS department office for a copy of the recommendation form at 956-665-5269. A separate application for admission and official transcripts must be submitted to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Office of Admissions for all students not currently attending the University.
